We like to keep things spicy in our house!
I love making this salsa because #1 it is easy, #2 quick and #3 it adds a spicy smoky heat to anything you desire.
Just toss a few jalapenos and garlic (skin on) onto a parchment lined baking tray.
Dash with olive oil and sprinkle with kosher salt.
Place in your oven right under your broiler on the highest level and let them toast.
I flipped the jalapenos once.
When they look sufficiently charred let them rest and rub the skins off with a paper towel.
Whisk them up in your blender until smooth and add more salt or olive oil as needed.
My husband loves this and I feel like a culinary diva making something so tasty in a wink of an eye!
We like to eat this on sandwiches, eggs, potatoes or tacos, I also like to spread it on toast with cream cheese.
I keep mine in glass jars in the fridge and make it in small batches. It never lasts longer than a week so I don't know how long it will keep.
