Party time!

She became aware of the significance of birthday parties in April around my Dad's birthday and has been talking about hers coming up ever since.

Saturday was beautiful and sunny and we had a few friends and family over for a little BBQ. We grilled chicken and steak kabobs and and ate outside on the patio.

I wasn't sure how she would respond to all of the attention she can be very shy in large groups and I had anticipated that she may be overwhelmed.


She wasn't. She loved every minute of it!   We dressed her in a pink party dress and Auntie Jen gave her a sparkly birthday bracelet which she loved and proudly wore all afternoon.


We strung balloons across the yard and bought cupcakes.We had water balloons and a giant heart piñata.

It was a fun afternoon and I think she will remember it for a while!
