Plum cake

This cake is stunning.


It's easy to make and delicious.

It begs to be shown off and then slowly savored between sips of hot coffee.

It's almost like a pound cake only lighter.

I found the recipe here while browsing and decided to give it a try.

I now have a new favorite cake recipe and plan on making this again and again.

Recipe notes: I only had six plums, in my opinion this was quite sufficient, you get tart plum in every bite, and the cake still shines in contrast to the fruit. I also followed the cue of a readers comment and cut the sugar down to 1/2 cup because I like things to be less sweet. I did not have any sour cream so I used whole milk plain yogurt.

Well yes, yes I will have a piece for breakfast -thank you!
