Happy New Year!

                                         

 

It was cold enough outside to see our breath in foggy puffs.

The sky was clear and flecked with tiny stars and a golden almost full moon.

We lit the lanterns and watched as they slowly filled with hot air and pulled themselves from our hands racing into the dark sky.

Wishes were made and we sprinted from the back yard to the front to watch them turn into little red dots and disappear into the sky.

It was a beautiful goodbye to the end of a good and full year.
