Yesterday we spent the afternoon at my parents farm. My Mom had called last week and told me I should come out and pick berries because as she put it "you know how huge they are at the beginning of the season". NO further convincing needed, and yes they were huge!
One of my nephews and one of my nieces were also spending the day with their grandma. Between trips running to the bathroom, wiping noses, Popsicle breaks, and finding lost shoes for the four kiddos it was much less than productive picking.
It was however a lot of fun and we managed to come home not only with our bellies full of berries but also a large bowl filled with plump warm blueberries as well.
This is one afternoon that will be stored in their memories. I am sure of that.
