Road Trip'n- to Seattle

 

  

 

On Saturday we headed to Seattle for the day.

We went to the Pike Place Market and wandered among the crowd taking in the sights and smells.

The dahlias were gorgeous, huge and vibrant.

 We munched on piping hot piroshky's and ate freshly fried fish and chips.

We wandered down to the Pier.

The new Ferris wheel on the pier is beautiful and poses in pure white contrast to the busy skyline behind it.

We rode the carousel. I think I was as excited as Ximena!

While half of our group headed up the Space Needle. Ricky, Kami and I walked over to Collections Cafe next door for a cool drink.

It almost felt like a date with only Miss Kake tagging along.

We snacked on almonds and olives and stared at the impressive collections of  plastic radios, ceramic dogs, tin toys, and vintage accordions.

It was a beautiful day. The temperature was warm but not hot. There were more things to see than was possible for one day.
