I put her and Kami down for their morning nap. A few minutes later I heard the click, click of their bedroom door opening and then closing.
Everything was quite.
I found her sitting on the stairs.
She told me,"I all done with my nap Mommy, I so excited to get my hair cut ".
She is so shy I wondered if she would change her mind at the last minute.
When I made the appointment they asked if she would like to have her hair washed first, we left it as a maybe.
When we got to the salon the hair dresser Julie immediately greeted Ximena and asked her if she was ready to get her hair cut.
Julie took her back to the back of the salon and instructed her to climb up in the chair so she could wash her hair. Ximena did so, and I watched proudly as a cape and towel were placed over her shoulders.
I could see her little legs shaking under the cape but she followed all the instructions and answered Julie's questions about her age and the name of her little sister. She emerged from the hair washing with shiny eyes and a pleased smile, ready to climb into the little pink car to have her hair cut.
We ended with a ride on the horse and a candy necklace for each of the girls.
She wanted to wait outside for her daddy to come home so she could show him her new haircut.
