Saturday we celebrated Mexio's Independance Day.
We went to a favorite Mexican store for lunch and sat under an array of pinatas while we drank Jarritos.
Sparkling bright orange, grapefruit, and red fruit punch.
We ate tacos, pozole and sopes.
Before we left the store we picked up a little packet of fresh warm corn tortillas and carne asada to grill later.
It was a beautiful warm evening made more lovely by good friends.
The girls played hard with their little friends and when we tucked them into their beds later that night they went willingly with no protest.
We watched the boxing match cheering on Mexico's Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, and stayed up late talking and laughing.
Viva Mexico!
