Crunchy

Ricky and I told the girls the story of our first date. They only listened a little. He told them this was my favorite salad, so today I made my version.


- thinly shaved purple cabbage
- fennel bulb
-carrots
- a handful or two of toasted pepitas
- cilantro leaves torn
- a bunch of limes
- salt

It has all the desirable elements of a good salad: crisp, crunchy, salty and tart.  I ate some for lunch and then finished it off for dinner.

My favorite part is sipping the purple juice off the plate when I am done with the salad.
